As Head of Rights – France, you will facilitate, improve and conduct DAZN’s ongoing relationships with third parties such as rights holders, leagues, federations, intermediaries, clubs and players.
The role requires you lead relationships with key Rights holders through collaboration, trust, expertise, and DAZNs objectives and linking them together in creative and innovative ways, demonstrating value and success and providing useful insights to maintain and drive rights partnerships forward.
You will be a team player with all DAZN functions, notably: Subscriptions, Content, Strategy, Delivery, PR & Comms, Advertising and many more… It’s important that you become a point of contact and expertise for Rights in France so that anyone at DAZN can come to you. You will also give commercial recommendations and support the broader market objective with ideas regarding our rights holders and partners.
You will also provide additional support and contribute towards the shared aims of DAZN’s rights team, as we continue to strengthen our content portfolio in France. If this sounds like your next challenge – we would love to hear from you!
This role will be based in our Paris office.
As our new Head of Rights, France, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Establish strong working relationships and manage day-to-day aspects for key rightsholder partners and participating clubs (in particular with Ligue 1) to maximise our commercial value during the term of our agreements.
- Plan, brief, coordinate and execute activations around key media rights in France.
- Generating viewership and performance reports on monthly and ad-hoc bases to provide to rightsholder and internal teams.
- Be a subject matter expert on our rights in France and act as a single point of contact for all French rights related questions/issues/ideas.
- Ensure that live rights and non- live content is supporting the overall objective of the market.
- Support the senior management in rights acquisition or renewal processes and in advising DAZN management regarding the long-term rights strategy.
- Support our international rights team with queries or ad hoc tasks where required and play a pivotal role in coordinating rights acquisitions in France (both tender process and existing agreements in DAZN markets)
You’ll be set up for success if you have:
- Senior level experience in the Sports media industry, working in a Rights focussed environment / role
- Excellent knowledge of the French Media Landscape with active industry contacts
- Committed team player mentality, with great interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for solving problems
- Highly organised work approach with strong attention to detail and commercial acumen
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and work to deadlines
- Ability to communicate and present clearly and effectively, particularly with senior stakeholders
- Languages – French (Fluent), English (Business fluency)
