As the Head of Project Management, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Global Health Exhibition. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Team Development

  • Define and implement the project delivery strategy across the entire portfolio of events, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project management team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability across the function to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Act as a key decision-maker, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure all projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Portfolio Management and Oversight

  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of all projects within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with commercial strategies and event objectives.
  • Monitor project managers daily to ensure progress, identify risks, and address challenges proactively.
  • Track performance across projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and KPIs are met while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.
  • Ensure effective utilization of external suppliers and efficient communication with internal teams.

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement standardized project management processes, templates, and tools to drive efficiency and consistency across all events.
  • Set up project management meetings, create milestones, and establish clear responsibilities for project managers.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of experiential event features, including roundtables, activations, and government-supported initiatives.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Risk Management and Reporting

  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks across the portfolio, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and follow-ups to ensure risks are addressed and resources are optimized.
  • Lead high-level reporting efforts, pulling together data and context for government-supported events and senior leadership updates.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation, ensuring financial discipline and cost control.
  • Conduct regular budget reviews and provide accurate financial reporting to senior leadership.
  • Optimize resource planning mechanisms to balance competing priorities and ensure efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.

Event Delivery Excellence

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, marketing, and creative teams to deliver seamless and impactful events.
  • Drive a customer-centric approach, ensuring the needs of exhibitors, attendees, and partners are prioritized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all events meet or exceed organizational standards for quality, innovation, and attendee experience.
  • Proven experience in project management within live events, exhibitions, experiential, or consumer-focused industries.
  • Strong expertise in resource and finance management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on accountability and collaboration.
  • Experience in risk identification, mitigation, and tracking performance across multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Airtable or similar platforms is a plus.
