Head of Programmatic

We are looking for an experienced Head of Programmatic to lead and scale our AdExchange business. This role is responsible for driving commercial success, building high-performing teams, and shaping the long-term strategy of the product in close cooperation with company leadership.



Responsibilities

  • Oversee business results and define the strategic development vector for the SmartyAds AdExchange product
  • Take full responsibility for all business-related teams: Business Development, Account Management and Customer Success
  • Serve as an escalation point for top-level customer and partner issues
  • Set targets and control execution of business development plans (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Own CSM and Account Management KPIs and define team direction and performance standards
  • Monitor platform profitability on a daily basis and initiate immediate corrective actions when needed
  • Prepare and present regular performance and strategy reports to executive management
  • Define and execute the strategic direction of the AdExchange in cooperation with top management
  • Ensure strong collaboration with SSP and DSP teams and alignment across products
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure strong positioning, promotion of key integrations, and execution of inbound and outbound sales strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner roadshows
  • Track industry trends, regulatory updates, and technological changes, initiating product improvements to maintain competitiveness
  • Cooperate with Legal, Privacy, Operations, HR, Product and Finance teams to ensure sustainable product development
  • Lead complex negotiations, recovery of lost integrations, and resolution of critical partner cases
  • Support product roadmap development based on market needs and commercial priorities



Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in AdTech / Programmatic / Digital Advertising
  • Proven experience in managing large commercial or product-driven teams
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem: DSPs, SSPs, AdExchanges, Publishers, Agencies, Data Providers, and Scanners
  • Strong knowledge of OpenRTB protocol, bidding mechanisms, traffic quality metrics, and monetization models
  • Experience with multiple environments and formats (Web, Mobile App, CTV, DOOH, Display, Video, Native, Audio)
  • Solid understanding of privacy regulations and frameworks (GDPR, TCF, GPP, COPPA, CCPA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret revenue, margin, and performance data
  • Experience working with BI tools, CRM systems, and reporting dashboards
  • Budget planning and P&L management experience
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); Ukrainian is a plus
