Fiat Republic is a London-based remote-friendly fintech dedicated to bringing mainstream banking to the world of digital assets. Founded in 2021, the company has quickly established itself as a leading provider of banking and payment infrastructure for cryptocurrency companies.

Our Mission

Fiat Republic's mission is to bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital assets by providing cryptocurrency businesses with a single API to create bank accounts in multiple fiat currencies, access local bank payment rails, and manage FX and liquidity operations. We are a highly regulated business, with electronic money and money service business licenses in the UK, EU, US and Canada. As such, we speak fluently in the language of traditional finance but, at the same time, think about and are excited by crypto and blockchain technology.

About the Role:

As the Head of Product at Fiat Republic, you will be the architect of our product vision. We are looking for a seasoned leader from the traditional Core Banking or Payments world who is ready to jump into the high-velocity environment of a startup.

You will join a high-impact leadership triad, working in a tight feedback loop with our VP of Engineering and Head of Delivery. While they focus on technical excellence and execution velocity, you will own the "What" and the "Why"—bridging the gap between complex banking rails and the future of Web3.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Strategic Leadership: Own the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with Fiat Republic’s long-term commercial objectives and revenue potential.
• The 3 Amigos: Function as a key pillar alongside the VP of Engineering and Head of Delivery to ensure a seamless flow from ideation to deployment.
• Team Scaling & Mentorship: You aren't just a solo strategist. You will be responsible for building and line-managing the Product organization, including Product Managers and Designers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
• Stakeholder Synergy: Act as the primary bridge between Sales, Compliance, and Finance to ensure our product remains compliant, competitive, and commercially viable.
• Market Intelligence: Deeply analyze market trends in both TradFi and Crypto to identify "blue ocean" opportunities for the FR product stack.
• Discovery & Validation: Lead discovery workshops using the desirability, viability, and feasibility framework to ensure we are building features that customers actually need.
• Third-Party Ecosystem: Manage strategic relationships with banking providers and compliance tool vendors, ensuring our "infrastructure-as-a-service" remains robust.

Skills & Experience:

• Non-Negotiables
  • Core Banking & Payments DNA: You have a deep, fundamental understanding of how money moves. Whether it’s SEPA, SWIFT, Faster Payments, or ledger accounting, you speak the language of banking fluently.
  • Startup Mindset: You are looking to trade corporate hierarchy for startup agility. You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable getting your hands dirty while building a department.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in people management is essential. You have a track record of hiring, mentoring, and setting OKRs for high-performing product teams.
  • Technical Literacy: 7+ years in software product management with a strong focus on API-first products and developer experience (DX).
• The "Huge Plus" (Crypto & Web3)
  • You have a foot in the future. Whether you’ve worked professionally in the space or are a sophisticated personal trader/DeFi user, you understand the friction points between traditional finance and the crypto economy.
• Core Competencies
  • Visual Thinker: You lean toward wireframes, flowcharts, and diagrams to explain complex logic before a single line of code is written.
  • Outcome-Obsessed: You prioritize business impact over "feature shipping" and can evaluate the viability of an initiative in minutes.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You can synthesize complex regulatory or technical constraints into clear, compelling narratives for both internal teams and external clients.
