Head of Product, Credit Risk

What is this role about?

As the Head of Product, Credit, you will lead the development of Bondora’s credit decision-making stack. This is a highly cross-functional role working across Credit, Data Science, Risk, Legal, and Engineering to build systems that turn raw data into smart, responsible, and scalable credit decisions. You will shape the roadmap, structure the tooling, and ensure we meet both regulatory and business goals as we scale into the existing and new markets.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Continuously talk to customers, validate problems, and turn insights into shipped outcomes
• Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Bondora’s credit decisioning platform, ensuring scalable, compliant, and auditable decisions across markets.
• Design and scale core credit capabilities around data inputs, affordability logic, and credit files, ensuring they are robust, transparent, and ready for multi-country expansion
• Partner closely with Risk, Legal, Country teams, Data Science, and Engineering to evolve scoring logic, feature engineering, and PD modeling
• Enable risk managers with powerful configuration, testing, and monitoring tools (Taktile-powered)
• Own data quality and lifecycle for credit decisioning, ensuring integrity, traceability, and modeling readiness at scale.

What would ensure success in this role?

• Strong product thinking: ability to frame problems, run discovery, and turn insights into measurable shipped outcomes
• Experience building products powered by ML, data models, or AI systems - understanding how models are trained, evaluated, deployed, and monitored 
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical (Data Science, Engineering) and non-technical stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Country teams)

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with credit decisioning or underwriting platforms (e.g., Taktile, Provenir, or similar)
• Exposure to regulated domains such as lending, fintech, or digital banking.
