Head of Product

AI overview

Lead the vision and execution of the Carry platform, expanding the product suite and deepening user engagement in a rapidly growing fintech environment.

Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn | Hybrid, Full-Time

About Carry

At Carry, we are on a mission to help our customers build wealth through smart tax optimization and education. We started with a Solo 401k for self-employed business owners and have continued that momentum to build out a growing suite of financial products and services. We're a small, high-conviction team that moves fast and cares deeply about the financial outcomes of our customers.

About the Role

We're looking for a Head of Product to own the vision, strategy, and execution of the Carry platform. This is a director-level role for someone who can lead from the front—setting roadmap direction, building a product team, and partnering closely with marketing to bring new products to market.

You'll be the connective tissue between engineering, design, legal, compliance, and marketing. You'll inherit a strong foundation and be responsible for accelerating what comes next: expanding our product suite, deepening user engagement, and making Carry the go-to financial platform for self-employed business owners.

This role is in-office four days a week at our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office.

What You'll Own

  • Define and drive the full product roadmap

  • Lead product discovery—synthesizing customer research, data, and market signals into a clear, prioritized strategy

  • Partner with engineering and design to ship high-quality features on a consistent cadence

  • Own go-to-market strategy for new product launches in close partnership with marketing

  • Collaborate with compliance, legal and operations to navigate the regulatory complexity inherent to fintech

  • Hire, onboard, and develop product managers and designers as the team grows

  • Foster a culture of rigor: clear requirements, tight feedback loops, and a focus on measurable outcomes

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated progression into a senior or lead role

  • Background in fintech, wealth management, tax, or a closely adjacent domain—you understand the space, not just the craft

  • Proven ability to own a roadmap end-to-end, from strategy through delivery and iteration

  • Experience leading or mentoring other PMs, with a desire to build and grow a team

  • Strong GTM instincts—you've partnered with marketing on launches and know how to drive adoption post-ship

  • Data-driven and customer-obsessed, equally comfortable pulling analytics and talking to clients

  • Clear, confident communicator who can simplify complexity for engineers, executives, and customers alike

  • Energized by the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage startup; prior startup or high-growth fintech experience is a strong plus

Compensation

  • Salary: $190,000 - $215,000

  • Equity: Generous Equity Package

  • Other Benefits: Competitive health, dental and vision benefits, paid time off, 401(K) match, and other benefits.
