Head of Product

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

As the Head of Product, you will be responsible for leading the product vision, strategy, and execution at Archer. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, deliver exceptional user experiences (both internal and external), and achieve key business-level objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of building and scaling successful products in a fast-paced tech environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the company’s mission and goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of product managers, engineers, and designers.
  • Define and oversee the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on market research, customer feedback, and business impact.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics to measure product success and iterate accordingly.
  • Build product around our OEM business, with an emphasis on factory and manufacturing tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and refine product offerings for our air taxi business, including a consumer-facing app and a backend operations/logistics platform.
  • Invest in and develop future bets related to software innovation, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technological advancements in our industry.
  • Work cross functionally across multiple business units towards a unified product strategy.

What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling tech products.
  • Ability to attract and hire top product and engineering talent.
  • Experience working in high-growth, disruptive tech environments.  
  • Experience should cover some combination of: hardware, manufacturing, defense / government applications, software, transportation, and hospitality.
  • Experience solving problems in highly-regulated spaces.

At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $375,000 - $425,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
