Head of Privacy

Your career as Head of Privacy at Booksy would put you at the core of our global operation, leading the worldwide data privacy and protection function. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our rapid global growth is underpinned by robust privacy and security, safeguarding customer trust, and aligning with diverse regulatory obligations.

This is a true opportunity to ‘Act like an owner’, defining the multi-year roadmap for scalable privacy compliance across all our markets. You’ll partner with our Product, Engineering, and Data teams to bake "privacy-by-design" into the product lifecycle , moving beyond box-ticking to innovative, responsible data handling.

We are looking for candidates based in an EST timezone for this role, the salary band is $175-200k base.

You'll lead the way by:

• Defining and executing the global privacy strategy in alignment with company objectives and regulatory frameworks.
• Serving as the company's senior-most expert on global data protection and privacy laws.
• Building robust privacy-by-design capabilities and embedding privacy procedures across the entire organization.
• Overseeing critical processes for handling data subject rights, data retention, cross-border data transfers, and breach responses.
• Leading and coaching a globally-distributed, high-performing privacy team.

Requirements

To ensure you succeed in this global leadership role, you’re going to need:

• 10+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or legal/compliance roles, including 3+ years in a leadership position.
• Proven ability to lead global privacy programs in scaling technology companies (SaaS or platform preferred).
• Deep, practical knowledge of global privacy frameworks and the ability to operationalize them into pragmatic advice.
• Eligibility and willingness to serve as a Data Protection Officer if requested, under GDPR (or similar), where applicable. CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM or equivalent privacy certifications are highly desirable.
• Tech-savviness, with the ability to adapt to new platforms and be comfortable with non-traditional compliance workflows.
