The Head of Pre-match & Planning will lead the pre-match esports trading function, with a primary focus on odds compilation and ensuring the right events are covered.
This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for delivering consistent pre-match pricing across key esports titles while managing coverage priorities and trading readiness.
You will own the full pre-match cycle — from tournament scheduling and resource planning through to market creation, pricing accuracy, and margin delivery. You will work closely with the VP of Trading and the Analytics team to shape how we build and scale our pre-match offering.
Lead and develop the pre-match trading team across esports titles (CS2, LoL, Dota 2, etc.)
Oversee pre-match odds compilation
Own planning and scheduling of trading resources across pre-match and live to ensure reliable coverage of global esports events
Build and improve pre-match trading processes
Take overall responsibility for pre-match margin targets and contribute to broader trading P&L
Monitor the competitive landscape and drive continuous improvement
Work with the Analytics team to improve pricing logic and promote automation
Coordinate with Live Trading to ensure smooth handovers between pre-match and in-play
Contribute to improvements in pre-match processes and tools
5+ years in sports or esports trading with hands-on pre-match experience
Proven experience leading and developing a pre-match team
Strong mathematical understanding (probability, expected value, margin management)
Deep knowledge of esports tournament structures, formats, and scheduling across major titles
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to deliver under tight timelines
Exposure to scheduling / planning responsibilities
Experience with automation of pre-match workflows
Multi-title esports knowledge
Experience working with B2B trading products or third-party feeds
