PeopleCert is looking for seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Physical Security to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee the physical security operations across its corporate premises. The Head of Physical Security will be responsible for ensuring the safety of people, assets, and infrastructure, managing external security providers, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to uphold a high standard of operational safety and control.


As Head of Physical Security your tasks will be the following:

  • Supervise all aspects of physical security within PeopleCert facilities GR, UK, CY, India.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily tasks of internal or external security personnel.
  • Monitor and manage CCTV systems, access control, alarms, and emergency equipment.
  • Ensure proper reporting and investigation of security incidents.
  • Implement and maintain loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities team on security during maintenance, renovations, and visitor access.
  • Maintain up-to-date security documentation, incident logs, and response plans.
  • Educate and support staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Manage entry and clearance of visitors, vendors, and external partners.
  • Liaise with authorities (e.g. Fire Department, Police) in case of incidents or audits.

 

What we look for:

 

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. Security Management, Engineering, Business)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facility or corporate security supervision
  • Proven knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, fire detection)
  • Familiarity with AI-powered security technologies
  • Experience in structured corporate or multinational environments
  • Excellent knowledge of English (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) Extra languages desired.
  • Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and responsibility
  • Flexibility to respond to security needs after hours or in rotating shifts (if required)

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
