Job Context

  • Internal Contact (EU Business Unit)

    • Work closely with the OPPLE EU Sales Teams (Country Managers and Account Managers), Marketing Dept., Product Portfolio Managers.
    • Lead the Customer Service Team, After Sales Service Team and Supply Chain Team (approx. 18 FTE).
    • Cooperate with EU Finance, HR department.

  • Internal Contact (China HQ)

    • Work closely with the OPPLE HQ, including but not limited to:
    International Supply Chain, Product & Solution Center, Branding Center.
    • Lead the Logistics, Supply Planning and CWH/SKD team (4 FTE).

  • External Contacts

    • 3PL (3rd party Logistic Service Provider).
    • Subcontractors.
    • External auditors.
    • Join Head of Sales when visiting international Key Accounts.

Values & Responsibilities

To ensure optimal product availability and on-time-in-full delivery to customers while optimizing supply chain costs. The role translates company strategy into operational supply chain plans, leads continuous improvement, and manages end-to-end supply chain activities from China factories to European customers. 

  • Develop & implement Supply Chain strategy & roadmap

    • Translate company strategy into supply chain strategy and operational roadmap (OGSM).
    • Lead the implementation of the supply chain roadmap and continuous improvement routines.
    • Establish and chair bi monthly EU commercial S&OP meeting.
    • Create and publish monthly EU Inventory & Business Model (IBM) reports (balancing sales, manufacturing, purchasing and stock).
    • Further develop and monitor KPI’s, dashboards, and reports for supply chain performance (DSI, DPA, Bias, % of stock at SS-level).

  • End-to-end supply chain planning & inventory management

    • Manage end to end supply chain from China factories to EU warehouse and customers.
    • Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management.
    • Monitor and improve stock availability and OTIF (On-Time In-Full).
    • Drive reduction in backorder value through improved planning and coordination.
    • Optimize inventory levels and rotation to achieve DSI and inventory value targets.

  • Logistics cost control & forecasting

    • Approve, track, and forecast logistics and operational costs.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in inbound/outbound logistics and physical distribution.
    • Monitor budget performance and report variances.
    • Drive continuous improvement in logistics spending and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate cost reporting and budgeting.

  • Manage logistics partners & subcontracting in EU

    • Serve as primary management contact for 3PLs and subcontractors.
    • Conduct monthly-, quarterly & annual business reviews with logistics partners (MBR and QBR).
    • Negotiate contracts and manage day-to-day escalations.
    . Lead tender process (in those years where applicable).
    • Oversee subcontracting activities for SKD, Ecolight, and Cogeco.
    • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLA’s) and performance standards.

  • Build High Performance Team

    • Lead, coach, and develop all the teams reporting into this position.
    • Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
    • Foster teamwork and collaboration across regions and functions.
    • Resolve conflicts and align team goals with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Education background

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

  • Professional Knowledge and skills

    • Over 10 years in Supply Chain planning (demand/supply/inventory).
    • ERP SAP (SD, MM, PI modules) & Deman Planning software (Optimact) proficiency is a pre. Same as Salesforce.
    • MS Office advanced skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
    • Fluent in Dutch & English; German or Chinese is a plus.

  • Critical Experiences

    • Managed cross-regional supply chain teams.
    • Implemented S&OP processes.
    • Handled 3PL management & contract negotiations.
    • Led IT/system implementation projects in supply chain.
    • Can lead a tender process.
    • Understands GTM processes.

  • Critical Capabilities

    • Strong analytical & data-driven decision-making
    • Excellent communication & conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to coach teams and build cross-functional collaboration
    • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work under time- & group pressure  environment
