ABOUT THE ROLE

Enabled Energy, Inc. is seeking a Head of Operations. This role is a key Delivery leader responsible for turning engineered scope into successful, profitable projects. This role sits at the intersection of Delivery, Project Development, and Business Development- ensuring we execute with quality in the field, protect margin, meet customer expectations, and operate as One Team.
This person oversees the full spectrum of operations engineering, construction, integration, and service across our data center projects. 


  • Employment Type: Full-time 
  • Travel: Up to 40% for site visits and project oversight 
  • Reports To: Director/VP-level leader responsible for Sales, Development, and Delivery 
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience + benefits 

 

LEADERSHIP, COACHING & CULTURE 

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Delivery team (Construction Managers, field resources, coordinators) with clear expectations, regular 1 on 1s, and consistent follow-through. 
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and proactive communication across every project. 
  • Strengthen collaboration with BD and PD while eliminating drama, confusion, or siloed decision-making. 
  • Model professional behavior- direct communication, clear roles, predictable follow-up. 
  • Identify high-potential team members, provide development opportunities, and build bench strength. 
  • Give timely, specific feedback and hold people accountable to performance, safety, and quality standards. 

 

OPERATIONS ENGINEERING 

  • Oversee planning, development, and execution of engineering work tied to data center operations. 
  • Own technical solution implementation in partnership with PD and Innovation teams. 
  • Ensure engineering work complies with industry standards, company processes, and customer requirements. 
  • Coordinate troubleshooting with engineering and site teams to resolve issues quickly. 
  • Drive continuous improvement across engineering workflows, documentation, and field execution. 

 

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT 

  • Manage the construction lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, site coordination, and resource allocation. 
  • Protect safety on every job- enforce protocols, coach safe behavior, and run regular safety audits. 
  • Ensure project execution aligns with design specs, schedule commitments, and quality standards. 
  • Supervise contractors and subs to maintain compliance and performance. 
  • Resolve field issues quickly to avoid schedule or cost impact. 
  • Conduct regular site inspections, project reviews, and customer touchpoints to validate progress. 

 

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION 

  • Oversee integration of new systems, controls, and technologies into existing data center operations. 
  • Manage the full integration lifecycle from planning through testing and deployment. 
  • Work closely with IT, PD, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless operation. 
  • Build integration plans that support operational goals, customer requirements, and technical constraints. 
  • Monitor system performance and adjust as needed to maintain reliability and efficiency. 

 

SERVICE & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE 

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery across all projects and operational engagements. 
  • Build and maintain SLAs, KPIs, and performance tracking for Delivery. 
  • Drive strong incident response, issue resolution, and follow-through. 
  • Maintain field presence and site relationships- being on-site, visible, and connected to customer teams. 
  • Partner with BD on QBRs, customer check-ins, and post-project reviews. 
  • Identify follow-on opportunities and tee them up for BD and PD. 

 

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ALIGNMENT (BD/PD/DELIVERY) 

  • Own the handoff from BD/PD to Delivery- scope, assumptions, risks, schedules, customer expectations. 
  • Keep BD and PD informed on field issues, scope gaps, design adjustments, or risks that impact customer timelines or margin. 
  • Support PD with data, feedback, and field insights to improve future proposals and engineering designs. 
  • Ensure Delivery input is integrated into account plans, program playbooks, and repeatable runbooks for anchor accounts (Lumen, Digital Realty, Vantage, Flexential, etc.). 
  • Participate in customer calls and reviews with BD/PD to ensure aligned messaging and strong execution. 

 

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT 

  • Oversee staffing, resourcing, and load balancing across all active projects. 
  • Maintain accurate schedules and forecast resource needs based on BD funnel and PD timelines. 
  • Manage budgets, track expenditures, and protect gross margin across the delivery portfolio. 
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on schedule, risks, performance, and field visibility. 
  • Ensure timely project close-out, documentation, and proactive coordination with accounting for invoicing and cash flow. 
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and drive solutions that improve efficiency and predictability. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 
  • 7+ years in operations, engineering, construction, or delivery roles in data centers or similar environments. 
  • Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure and construction practices. 
  • Proven leadership experience- coaching, developing, and holding teams accountable. 
  • Successful track record managing complex projects under tight timelines. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
  • Solid working knowledge of compliance standards, safety requirements, and construction regulations.
