Today, we are reimagining the randomized control trial (RCT) for the 21st century through TwinRCTs. A TwinRCT is an AI-powered RCT that allows more trial patients to receive the experimental treatment and takes significantly less time than a traditional RCT. Job Summary

As the leader of the platform group, you’ll lead multiple teams that facilitate our cutting edge ML technology to predict disease progression. We need a platform that can process large volumes of raw clinical data that get transformed into data products which are used to train our ML models, as well as supporting serving these ML models to our customers. Your job is to set the vision for the group, ensure we have the correct strategy, turn this into a roadmap, and then drive execution. You will also ensure our strong engineers are always growing and are prepared for the new challenges that lie ahead.

This position reports to our VP of Technology and is equivalent to Senior Manager / Director.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and mentor a team of strong engineers
  • Define a bold North Star for your group and ensure we have an effective strategy to achieve it
  • Collaborate with engineers, product management, and commercial to develop engineering roadmaps
  • Drive execution of projects and initiatives
  • Set the standard for engineering excellence on the team

Requirements

  • Professional experience growing and leading engineering teams
  • Effective leadership, execution, and communication skills
  • Passion to lead your team and encourage best practices
  • Track record of facilitating the use of machine learning to solve real-world problems
  • Bachelor's degree (advanced preferred) in engineering or science

Compensation and Benefits

We make extensive use of data to ensure we provide competitive, and fair, compensation packages relative to the market for every role. The base salary range for this position is from $240,000 to $260,000.

Compensation is one of the tools we use to help align employees with the company mission and strategy. For this reason, our compensation packages include substantial components including annual performance bonuses as well as equity grants (stock options). That way, everyone shares in the upside when the company does well.
