Role Overview
We are seeking an inspiring Head of IT to shape the future of our technology landscape. As Head of IT, you will drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and lead innovation across our technology infrastructure that empowers teams and fosters a culture of collaboration across departments. Requirements
Process & Domain Management
- Oversee and lead the administration and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange) and core collaboration platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity and productivity.
- Manage and drive strategic oversight of our Azure cloud footprint, optimizing for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Own, define and execute the endpoint management strategy across macOS, Windows, and iOS, balancing user experience with enterprise-grade security.
- Lead, govern and optimize the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), and potentially over time others in use within SAP Fioneer, establishing standards and best practices that unify teams and accelerate delivery.
- Champion operational excellence by continuously improving IT processes, aligning them with business priorities and compliance requirements.
- Lead initiatives for documentation, standardization, and automation, creating scalable frameworks that reduce complexity and increase efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, inspiring teams to innovate and deliver transformative outcomes.
Organisation & Planning
- Define and execute a forward-looking IT strategy that aligns seamlessly with company objectives and drives transformation, turning plans into impact.
- Shape and implement the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term vision.
- Own and evolve the IT roadmap, covering infrastructure, collaboration platforms, device lifecycle, and service management to enable scalability and resilience.
- Coordinate and orchestrate IT activities across operations and support teams, guaranteeing timely delivery of services and mission-critical projects.
- Lead resource planning and prioritization, balancing strategic initiatives with operational demands to maximize business value.
- Establish structured documentation and reporting frameworks using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), driving transparency and accountability.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the most senior liaison between IT and other departments, translating business needs into technical-relevant language.
- Partner with Engineering, Security, and People teams to ensure scalable, secure and future-ready digital workplace foundations.
- Facilitate alignment and transparency through regular team meetings, stakeholder updates, and executive-level reporting.
- Champion proactive communication, ensuring priorities, changes, and incidents are communicated effectively and with impact.
Team Management
- Report directly to the Chief Technology Officer of SAP Fioneer
- Build and empower high-performing teams that deliver excellence across global operations, creating an environment where collaboration, accountability and innovation thrive.
- Lead and manage the core IT teams based in Romania, Germany and India
- Coach and support team leads in scaling high-performance teams through effective performance management, development planning, and strategic recruitment.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable culture, ensuring alignment across regions and functions for shared success.
- Champion growth and capability building, empowering individuals and teams to deliver impact and embrace continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record of IT leadership (5–7 years), with demonstrated success in building high performing teams and driving people development.
- Demonstrated experience working in alignment with security and compliance requirements, ensuring technology solutions meet regulatory standards.
- Strong expertise in process optimisation and organisational planning, with the ability to scale systems effectively.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and collaboration tools, as well as Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) for project and knowledge management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or similar frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent fluency in English (both written and spoken)
