Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

The Head of HR will manage payroll compliance, absence systems, and lead the HR team with a strong focus on employee engagement and retention. The role requires someone capable of creating and implementing HR policies, improving engagement among blue-collar manufacturing employees, and driving organizational change. This position also oversees HR operations across multiple sites and business units, with authority to expand or restructure the department as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee HR functions across all group companies.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention programs.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievance handling.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, DOLE requirements, and company policies.
  • Drive training & development, succession planning, and performance management systems.
  • Supervise payroll, compensation & benefits, and HRIS systems.
  • Advise senior leadership on organizational development and workforce planning

Requirements

Must-have Skills / Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Preferably with a master’s degree or HR certifications (CHRP, SHRM, etc.).
  • At least 10 years’ experience in HR with 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Relevant industry experience on blue-collar, manpower-heavy sectors like manufacturing, logistics, and shipping.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to design HR frameworks for a multi-industry business group.
  • Amenable to work in Zamboanga del sur and preferably knows the dialect.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM PH Time. (Saturdays are not mandatory only when there is a need.
