Build the Demand Engine. Own the Pipeline.

About The Role

Opendorse is hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to own and build the demand generation engine for our advertiser and agency facing business. The primary objective is clear: get more brands, advertisers, and media agencies into our sales pipeline through a system that is measurable, repeatable, and continuously improving.

Opendorse is the market leader in NIL and athlete marketing. Our platform enables brands like Gatorade and Pepsi to activate campaigns across a network of 175,000+ college athletes. We need someone to build the growth engine that brings those brands to our door and keeps the pipeline full.

This is a builder role for someone who operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, and modern tooling. You will own marketing end to end, manage a small team and agency partners, and be personally accountable for pipeline outcomes. We believe the best growth marketers in 2026 use AI and automation as force multipliers, not novelties. The right person treats generative AI, marketing automation, and predictive analytics as core infrastructure, not side projects. You will combine human judgment and creative instinct with AI powered execution to produce outsized results with a lean team.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end to end demand funnel for brands, agencies, and advertisers, from awareness through qualified pipeline for the sales team. Measure success by SQLs, pipeline dollars, and revenue influenced.
  • Design and execute multi channel campaigns using AI tools for audience segmentation, content generation, personalization, and performance optimization. If you spend a dollar, you should be able to show exactly what it produced.
  • Build and manage the marketing execution system: automation workflows, lead scoring and routing, campaign analytics, and attribution. Stitch platforms together so leads flow cleanly from first touch to sales handoff.
  • Partner closely with Sales on targeting, messaging, and conversion. Ensure sellers have fast, effective collateral including case studies, decks, and proof points that move deals forward.
  • Own Opendorse’s organic discovery and search visibility, including traditional SEO and emerging AI search optimization, ensuring the brand shows up where modern B2B buyers are doing their research.
  • Own market positioning and manage agency partners across PR, paid media, and SEO. Shape the narrative that positions Opendorse as the definitive platform in athlete marketing.
  • Work with our team to produce white papers and thought leadership content on a regular cadence, using AI tools to accelerate production without sacrificing quality. Shape executive thought leadership including CEO social channels.
  • Manage a small execution team (creative + generalist), an intern outbound team, and vendor relationships. Build AI augmented workflows that let this lean team punch well above its weight.
  • Own the company’s web presence, event marketing (including our annual CWS Athlete Marketing Forum), and inbound landing pages.
  • Manage and allocate a $1.5M-$2.0M annual marketing budget with confidence and accountability, treating every dollar like it needs to show a return.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven demand generation and performance marketing track record in B2B or B2B2C environments, with demonstrated pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Startup or high growth experience where you were both the strategist and the executor. You’ve built growth systems, not just inherited them.
  • Hands on proficiency with modern martech: marketing automation, CRM tools (HubSpot is a plus), analytics platforms, and AI powered content and campaign tools.
  • Fluency with AI and automation as daily operating tools. You use generative AI for content production, predictive tools for lead scoring, and automation to eliminate manual bottlenecks. This isn’t a nice to have; it’s how you work.
  • Experience managing and allocating real marketing budget with clear accountability to ROI and efficiency metrics.
  • Ability to build systems from scratch: outbound workflows, lead routing, vendor management, campaign infrastructure, and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong experimentation mindset. You run tests, read data, and iterate quickly rather than relying on gut feel or doing the same thing every quarter.
  • Comfort operating with a small team and limited resources while still producing measurable, scalable results.

Bonus Points

  • Experience marketing to advertisers, media agencies, or brands (the buy side of media).
  • Knowledge of NIL, college athletics, or the sports marketing ecosystem.
  • Experience with influencer marketing platforms or marketplace businesses.
  • Background building or managing outbound/SDR style teams.
  • Familiarity with AI search optimization (LLMO/GEO) and how B2B buyers discover vendors through AI powered research in 2026.
  • Event marketing experience, particularly owned events or industry forums.

Note on Fit

We want to be upfront because it saves everyone time. This is not a CMO position with a large team and agency roster. This is not a brand only or PR only role. We need someone who is demand generation first, brand literate second, and comfortable building in a scrappy environment where the team is small but the opportunity is massive.

If you need a big team underneath you before you can produce anything, this isn’t the right fit. But if you see AI as the ultimate force multiplier rather than a threat, and you want to build and own growth marketing at a company that is defining a category, with a direct line to the CEO, a real budget, and equity in the outcome, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Opendorse

  • Builder role: You’re writing the playbook, not inheriting one.
  • Direct line to the CEO: No layers, no politics.
  • Real budget: $1-2M+ to deploy. Prove results early and you earn the right to spend more.
  • AI forward culture: We don’t just talk about AI. We expect our marketing leader to use it as a core operating system.
  • Exciting category: NIL and athlete influencer marketing is early, growing, and genuinely interesting.
  • Ownership with equity: Stock options included. Build something and share in the upside.
