As Head of Engineering, Corporate Services, you will be responsible for defining and executing the BlaBlaCar’s Tech strategy around internal tooling and services, ensuring it aligns with our overall business objectives.
You will lead a team of 25+ Tech professionals organized into several teams (IT Ops, CRM, ERP, back-office, Program Managers), overseeing everything from the identification of needs and sourcing of new solutions to managing implementation projects and organizing run activities.
You’re leading the effort on smoothening the daily life and operations of all BlaBlaCar employees so that they can achieve their mission with efficiency, productivity and comfort. This will require a blend of deep technical understanding, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.
Your Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of managers and individual contributors
Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration within the department
Define and articulate the long-term vision and strategy for our Corporate Services organization, ensuring alignment with company goals and anticipating future needs
Partner closely with business leaders, product teams, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand their tooling needs, and deliver impactful solutions across the organization
Manage critical supplier relationships from large RFP processes to day to day relationship
Structure and set up large integration projects involving external solution integration and/or in house development
Build a transversal vision and strategy of our internal tooling and SaaS vendors landscape : connect the right dots, build strategy to foster company efficiently by leveraging the Corporate Services stack and set of services
Embody and promote BlaBlaCar values across the teams
Take ownership of engineering policy, guidelines, and associated ways of working.
Your qualifications
Strong and successful managerial track record, including managing managers
At scale leadership and communication skills (written and oral)
Experience in managing company-wide SaaS contracts and solutions ; experiences with Salesforce Service Cloud and Workday are a plus
Business acumen & Customer Centricity having an ability to be a creative and reliable product and business partner
Problem-solving skills and a track record of achieving results in complex ecosystems
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
