Head of DevOps/ Engineering Manager Devops

You will be the primary steward of Ajaib’s systems availability and cloud strategy. Your role is to evolve our infrastructure into a self-healing, "regulator-ready" environment that scales effortlessly with our user base while maintaining the highest levels of financial security.

Your Core Pillars of Impact

1. Systems Governance & Resilience: Oversee the architectural design and maintenance of our digital banking cloud infrastructure. You will deeply understand the business to manage the high availability of financial services, continuously improving our business SLAs.

2. SRE & Operational Excellence: Lead the response to production faults, coordinating across product and engineering teams to ensure rapid troubleshooting. You will own key reliability metrics, including fault response time and Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).

3. Security & Compliance Leadership: Develop and enforce rigorous security policies to safeguard sensitive financial information. You will ensure our data storage and cloud deployments remain in full compliance with industry regulations and emerging cybersecurity standards.

4. Talent Alchemy & Culture: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of 7-10 DevOps and SRE professionals. You will foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, empowering your team through technical guidance and formal leadership.

Requirements

You are a systems-native leader who excels at the intersection of high-scale cloud architecture and financial-grade security.

• Technical Governance: In-depth command of DevOps principles and SRE methodologies, including CI/CD optimization, automated incident response, and reliability engineering.
• Cloud Architecture Mastery: Demonstrated experience in implementing large-scale cloud strategies (GCP, AWS) and a deep understanding of internet technology architecture, including microservices, load balancing, and complex network protocols.
• The Track Record: 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in formal leadership roles within the financial services or banking industry. You have successfully managed at least one direct report at the Manager level.
• Systems Credibility: Proficient in container platforms (Docker/K8s) and well-versed in the management of mission-critical middleware and databases such as Kafka, Redis, and MySQL.

• The Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge the gap between development, operations, and security teams for a seamless software delivery lifecycle.
