Limbic is hiring a

Head of Design

London, United Kingdom
Full-Time

Limbic is making quality mental healthcare available to everyone, everywhere.

We’ve built a virtual therapy assistant to support patients and clinicians along the talk therapy care journey, enhancing therapist productivity while also keeping patients engaged along the care journey.

This is something incredibly important. The global demand for mental healthcare is ever rising, and the supply of clinicians can't keep up. Increasingly therapists are reporting symptoms of burnout. On the other side, we all wish the best care for anyone going through a tough time. Limbic is here to create a world where anyone can get access to the highest quality mental healthcare, wherever they are.

We're growing quickly and we're backed by Khosla Ventures, as well as Innovate UK, Entrepreneur First, and the European Commission.

We're looking for a design leader to help grow Limbic's products and brand into a strong position. How do we serve our patients and therapists better? How do we grow Limbic's position in the design community? How do we improve our brand to therapists and provider companies? These are the questions you'll be dealing with on a day to day basis.

Ideally, you have experience working in a startup environment and can collaborate cross-functionally with growth, and engineering. You can identify areas for improvement, come up with possible solutions and proposals, as well as iterate, implement, and drive releases that improve the product. You like to get your hands dirty in the day to day work as well as zoom out and work on the strategic product direction.

What you'll be working on:

  • Grow a productive and passionate team of product and marketing designers
  • Drive engineering (product and science) towards shippable solutions to a given problem and work towards a clear proposal through multiple iterations.
  • Drive Limbic's brand forward and support the marketing and sales teams communicating Limbic's solutions
  • Turning user research into high fidelity designs and improving existing implementations
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to keep track of implementation, maintain app quality, find bugs, and provide reproduction paths
  • Continuously validate the user satisfaction of shipped solutions and look for low-effort improvements with the highest impact
  • Implement best practices for the design team to be more productive and happier

You should apply if:

  • You have ambition to grow into a design leadership role and help build the design team at Limbic
  • You're excited by our vision at Limbic.
  • You believe the mental health industry needs better tooling and can be disrupted.
  • You can move fast and get stuff done. (You don’t just take ‘no’ for an answer).
  • You’re ready to apply your clinical knowledge to help Limbic navigate the healthcare landscape.
  • You want to see your work being used in the real world, benefitting people’s lives.

Limbic is an equal opportunity employer and particularly encourages applications from women and minorities.

Requirements

  • Ability to turn technical knowledge and user insights into visual and quantifiable results
  • Previous experience designing a product features from scratch, owning the design from ideation to production
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in UI, UX and visual design with a portfolio to show for it.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Professional development budget
  • Twice a year company-wide meetups
  • Monthly fun virtual activities
  • 25 days PTO
  • Equity share options
  • Remote working
