About the role

Tint is seeking a Head of Collectibles Insurance Programs to lead the strategy, development, and growth of insurance solutions serving the collectibles market, including fine art, trading cards, memorabilia, luxury goods, and other high-value assets.

This leader will own the design and scaling of insurance programs tailored to collectors, dealers, marketplaces, and custodians. Working closely with insurance carriers, brokers, marketplaces, and internal product and operations teams, you will architect innovative insurance solutions that address the unique risks of ownership, storage, valuation, and transaction of collectibles.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in specialty insurance (e.g., collectibles, fine art, inland marine, or high-net-worth personal lines), along with experience designing and launching insurance programs in partnership with carriers and distribution partners. This role is highly strategic and requires both insurance domain expertise and the ability to build and scale new market opportunities.

What you will do

  • Lead Collectibles Insurance Strategy: Define and execute Tint’s insurance strategy for the collectibles vertical, identifying market opportunities and developing scalable insurance solutions for collectors, dealers, and platforms.
  • Design and Launch Insurance Programs: Lead the design and launch of insurance programs for the collectibles market, including:
    • Program structure and architecture
    • Underwriting guidelines and eligibility criteria (e.g., item type, provenance, storage conditions)
    • Pricing and risk segmentation strategies
    • Policy forms, filings, and regulatory compliance
  • Build Carrier and Capacity Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic relationships with insurance carriers, MGAs, reinsurers, and brokers to secure sustainable capacity and competitive program structures for collectibles risks.
  • Expand Tint’s Presence in the Collectibles Ecosystem: Build relationships with marketplaces, auction houses, dealers, vault/storage providers, and collector communities to grow Tint’s customer base and develop embedded insurance opportunities.
  • Monitor Program Performance: Evaluate program performance across underwriting results, claims trends (e.g., theft, damage, fraud), and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to optimize profitability, risk management, and customer value.
  • Serve as Industry Subject Matter Expert: Act as Tint’s internal and external expert on the collectibles market, monitoring valuation trends, emerging asset classes (e.g., digital collectibles), regulatory considerations, and evolving insurance needs.
  • Represent Tint in the Market: Engage with carriers, brokers, marketplaces, and industry groups to position Tint as a leader in innovative insurance solutions for the collectibles industry.

You should apply if you have...

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in specialty insurance such as collectibles, fine art, inland marine, or high-net-worth personal lines.
  • Proven experience designing or launching insurance programs, including underwriting structures, filings, and carrier partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of risk characteristics for collectibles, including valuation, authentication/provenance, storage, transit, and fraud/theft risks.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, MGAs, brokers, and reinsurers to structure insurance programs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market opportunities into scalable insurance solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across carriers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced environments, including startups, MGAs, or program administrators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with embedded insurance, program business, or digital insurance platforms.
  • Familiarity with collectibles ecosystems such as marketplaces, auction houses, dealers, or vault/storage providers.
  • Experience with valuation models, appraisal processes, or data sources for collectibles pricing and risk assessment.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus.
  • Experience building or leading insurance programs serving collectors, dealers, or asset-backed portfolios.
