Head of Brazil
TLDR
Lead the establishment of Turn.io's Brazil operation, owning the P&L, driving team growth and strategic partnerships in a fragmented healthcare market.
Who We Are
Turn.io builds conversational healthcare for the Global South — across the full spectrum, from private clinics and healthtech companies to public health programmes. In Brazil, ImpulsoGov uses our platform to reach 3 million SUS patients across 300+ municipalities, tripling preventive screening rates in a study validated by Johns Hopkins. WeCancer grew their patient base by 25%. Brazil's Ministry of Social Development serves 300,000 citizens a month through Turn.io. The commercial side funds the impact. The impact validates the commercial side.
We've spent seven years refining this. What works, what doesn't, and where the real opportunity is. We've made the hard pivots. Now we're ready to build properly in Brazil and we want the right person to lead that.
The Role
This is as close to founding a business as you can get without starting from zero.
You'll build Turn.io's Brazil operation from the ground up. You will own the P&L, drive the team, close the deals, shape the market. You'll have the backing of a real product, a global team, years of institutional learning, and founders who are invested in your success. The risk is lower, the upside is real, and the market is wide open.
This is not a title-first role. We need someone who can think strategically and execute hands-on. Someone who gets healthcare, knows how to sell in Brazil, and thrives in a lean, globally distributed team.
What You'll Own
This is an entrepreneurial role at its core. You're not joining a regional office, you're building one. You own the Brazil P&L end to end — revenue in, team costs managed, customers retained. Growth matters, but so does how you get there.
Revenue — Drive MRR through new logos, upsell, and expansion across Brazil's healthcare ecosystem: private providers, healthtech companies, government or NGO programmes where Turn.io can deliver sustainable impact. Own the full sales cycle. You're measured on net contribution, not just top line.
Partnerships — Build a partner-led growth engine. Resellers, integrators, ecosystem players. Partners should be revenue-generating, not decorative.
Retention & Team — Keep customers healthy and growing. Build the team that makes it happen. You decide who to hire and you're accountable for the output.
What We're Looking For
You've built things before. You know how to open doors in Brazilian healthcare, close deals that stick, and build a team around you. You're comfortable being the person in the room who has to figure it out, and you prefer it that way.
Specifically:
- Deep roots in Brazil's healthcare ecosystem. You know the players, the buyers, and how decisions actually get made
- A track record of closing enterprise deals and building partner channels that generate real revenue
- Comfortable at both ends of strategy and execution. You don't wait for someone else to do the thing
- Based in Brazil, fluent in English and Portuguese. Strong Spanish a bonus
What Success Looks Like
In year one, you've built a pipeline with real momentum, closed new logos with strong retention potential, and activated 2–4 revenue-generating partners. Turn.io is on the radar of everyone that matters in Brazil's health ecosystem.
In year three, Brazil is Turn.io's fastest-growing market. You've built a team, a partner network, and a brand. The playbook you wrote is being used to open the next market.
Why This Role Matters
Brazil has 215 million people, a fragmented healthcare system, and a massive gap between the care people need and the care they can access. That gap is exactly where Turn.io operates. Seven years of real customers, hard lessons, and a product that actually works in these markets got us here.
We believe in sharing the upside with the people who build it. If you're the person who wants to build Brazil — let's talk.
Turn.io builds a platform that enables organizations to provide health and wellbeing services through chat services on WhatsApp, making support more accessible for individuals in the Global South. Our approach allows for scalable communication that reaches underserved communities, ensuring everyone can receive the assistance they need.
