Head of Brand & Design (m/f/d) - Munich

Your daily workout

As our Head of Brand & Design (m/f/d) in Munich, you will shape the face, voice, and expression of the entire EGYM Group including our business lines EGYM Technology and EGYM Wellpass through leading the people and operations behind EGYM's brand. This is first and foremost a people leadership role: you will bring structure and direction to a cross-functional team while acting as the bridge between brand strategy and day-to-day execution. We're looking for someone who turns vision into real work — a maker and doer who thrives in a fast-moving B2B tech environment and leads with clarity and consistency.


  • People Leadership: You lead, develop, and stabilize our Brand Ops, Design and Content teams (~10 people) by building a clear team culture, structured ways of working, and strong individual development paths
  • Operational Translation: You partner with our Lead Brand Strategist and act as the link between brand strategy and execution — turning positioning, frameworks, and campaign concepts into concrete deliverables, timelines, and priorities
  • Brand Ops & Project Management: You oversee the Brand Ops function as the project management layer of the organization, ensuring efficient workflows and reliable delivery across Design and Content
  • Content & Design Oversight: You ensure quality and consistency across all brand outputs — from digital and print to written content and international localization — working closely with your Team Lead Design
  • Brand Consistency: You develop and maintain brand guidelines, playbooks, and naming strategy across all teams and touchpoints as EGYM continues to scale
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You partner with senior leadership, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation to align messaging and creative execution and actively explore how new technologies, including AI, can make your team faster and more impactful

Your fitness level

  • Experience: You bring 7–12 years in brand, communications, or content in a B2B tech, startup, or scaleup environment. Agency-side backgrounds are not a fit for this role
  • People Leadership: You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and know how to build trust, structure, and momentum. Particularly in phases of change
  • Operational Mindset: You are energized by turning strategy into execution, not just shaping it. You roll up your sleeves, set priorities, and get things done
  • B2B Background: You understand how brand supports Sales, Product, and GTM in a B2B context and can communicate complex technology in a clear, compelling way
  • Communications Focus: Your background leans toward brand communications or content strategy rather than pure design or creative direction
  • Languages: You are fluent in both English and German and are comfortable working in an international, hybrid team

Your training goal for your first 6 months

  • Brand Strategy: You have fully immersed yourself in our brand strategy and understand our brand portfolio, positioning, and creative identity
  • Collaboration: You have built a strong working relationship with our Lead Brand Strategist and established clear frameworks for how you collaborate
  • Process Leadership: You have identified at least two design or content workflows that need improvement and proposed solutions ready for implementation
  • Roadmap & Planning: You have developed a solid understanding of our annual roadmap and aligned quarterly plans across Global Marketing — including Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Events. Ultimately, producing our quarterly roadmap for Brand for the following quarter after your start date
