We are looking for a Head of Analytics (Esports) to strengthen our trading function and take ownership of the analytical and mathematical foundations behind our esports odds vertical. This role sits within the Trading team, reports directly to the Director of Trading, and works closely with Data Science and Engineering teams.
You will play a key role in defining trading logic, building and validating algorithms, and developing mathematical models that support pricing, risk management, and market performance across esports titles.
Own and develop analytical frameworks that guide pricing and risk intent for esports markets
Define pricing logic, parameters, and update frequency for pre-match and live markets
Validate model behaviour against live trading conditions and KPIs
Design and maintain market logic for automated and semi-automated trading
Monitor model performance from both trading and margin perspectives
Translate trading strategy into clear, actionable analytical requirements for Data Science
Support incident analysis and post-mortems related to pricing or trading performance
Own mitigation strategies, including manual pricing workflows or parallel model development if needed
Contribute to roadmap decisions for automation and advanced trading capabilitiesYour skills will include
6+ years of experience in analytics, quantitative modelling, or trading-related roles
Deep understanding of betting markets, odds compilation, and trading principles
Strong mathematical/statistical background (degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field)
Ability to translate complex trading strategies into quantitative model requirements
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow analytics teams
Experience collaborating with Data Science teams to translate trading logic into model requirements
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate market/model risks
Direct experience with esports trading
Experience with live betting and high-frequency market updates
Experience with Python, R, SQL and statistical computing platforms
Familiarity with machine learning techniques applied to pricing or risk
