Head of Air Freight

Job Responsibilities:

• Management of TYO airfreight import and export department together with the managers.
• Ensuring all activities follow compliance and all local regulatory
• Vendor and cost management together with the procurement department
• Securing profit, P&L control
• Ensure and monitor that all monthly KPI are met
• Managing certifications and licenses
• Continuous review and improving operation quality
• Liaise and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running of operations
• Support the senior management where necessary
• Set-up and monitoring of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency
• Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements
• Collaboration with OSA airfreight team

Team Management:

• Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
• Plan and monitor team development together with the manager and senior management
• Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team
• Analyzing training needs
• Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility

Requirements

• Experience in either airfreight export or import, preferably in an international freight forwarder
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organization skill and paying attention to details
• Experience in people management
• Ability to work under pressure with responsibilities
• Ability to work independently
• Pleasant personality and a good team player
• Basic computer skills, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, Teams
