Head of AI

With their strong commitment to innovation, data-driven decision-making, and cutting-edge AI solutions, they are looking for a visionary Head of AI to drive their strategy in AI and analytics initiatives. Mission:

This is a leadership role that guides 4 different teams. AI Team, Software engineering Team, Reporting Team, QA Team. Each team has a team leader and about 5 people per team. As their Manager you will be shaping and executing the company’s data strategy to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and business growth majorly on building relevant products that can be used from the company's clients. You will need to keep a balance between strategic vision—exploring emerging technologies, understanding market needs, and driving research and development—and a hands-on approach to building a high-performing team, implementing robust data processes, and delivering actionable insights that lead to product development. You will need to be a forward-thinking leader with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a passion for leveraging data to create a competitive advantage.

You will be responsible for:

Data & Analytics Strategy

  • Defining and implementing the company’s analytics vision and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage analytics, AI, and data science to improve products, services, and operational performance.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to shape a future-proof analytics strategy.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team, including AI and Data, Software, Reporting and QA.
  • Fostering a collaborative, data-driven culture within the organization, enabling cross-functional teams to leverage analytics effectively.
  • Establishing training programs to enhance team capabilities and drive continuous learning.

Data Infrastructure & Governance

  • Overseeing data collection, integration, and management to ensure high-quality, accessible, and compliant data.
  • Implementing scalable data architecture and analytics platforms that support real-time decision-making.
  • Ensuring adherence to data governance, privacy, and security standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific regulations.

Advanced Analytics & AI Integration

  • Driving the adoption of AI and machine learning to enhance predictive analytics, automation, and decision-making.
  • Developing frameworks for experimentation and continuous improvement of data models and analytical approaches.
  • Partnering with technology teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into business processes.

Business Impact & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translating complex data insights into actionable strategies and communicate findings effectively to executive leadership.
  • Working closely with product, marketing, finance, and operations teams to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Presenting insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks to assess the impact of analytics initiatives.
  • Continuously refining data models, reports, and dashboards to improve accuracy and relevance.
  • Driving innovation by exploring new methodologies, tools, and techniques to optimize analytical capabilities.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven hands on experience in AI/ML roles, as well as more than three years of experience in leadership positions such as AI Manager or Director of AI (especially in tech, healthcare, finance or retail industries).
  • Good Understanding of AI, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and other AI subfields.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, C++ and tools (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise in data management practices, ensuring models are trained on quality datasets.
  • Proven track record of delivering AI projects that result in business transformation or innovation.

Skills & Competences

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage diverse talent.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical AI solutions.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external communications, including presenting to executives and clients.
