About the Finance team
The Corporate Finance team reports to the Finance Director. The team oversees the financial reporting of Younited within a regulated banking environment. Its mission is (i) to deliver accurate accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting (ii) provide reliable performance analyses to guide strategic decisions partnering with business units to optimize resource allocation, support key growth initiatives and (iii) drive the continued digital transformation of the overall finance function while working closely with teams across the company.
As part of the Corporate Finance team the Head of Accounting oversees General Accounting (3 FTE), Banking Accounting (7 FTE) and Consolidation (1 FTE).
Context 📄
The Head of Accounting oversees the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting. He/she leads the monthly closing of consolidated accounts, ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, and produces high-quality financial statements on both a consolidated and standalone basis. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and a rigorous approach to financial processes.
Key responsibilities 🚀
Manages and develops his/her team, ensuring skills development and high performance,
Leads and supervises the monthly closing process for consolidated accounts, ensuring reliability, completeness, and adherence to deadlines,
Leads and supervises the preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the Company ensuring compliance with relevant accounting frameworks,
Leads and supervises the preparation of standalone financial statements and tax filings of individual companies of the group in a timely manner and in accordance with appropriate accounting GAAPs,
Acts as the main point of contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits,
Strengthens and standardizes accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the group,
Coordinates with internal stakeholders (FP&A, Product & Tech, Risk, Capital Markets, ALM, Strategy, ExCo…) to secure high-quality financial information,
Proactively identifies process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the financial reporting cycle.
About you 👇
Seasoned professional with 8+ years of experience in financial reporting with a proven experience in financial audit, gained at a leading audit firm, ideally with exposure to financial institutions, regulated environments, and complex group structures, and in a corporate accounting or consolidation role, including direct management responsibilities and leadership of closing or reporting processes,
Strong technical expertise in banking accounting standards, and consolidation principles (IFRS & French GAAP),
Familiarity with the specificities of financial instruments, prudential requirements, and internal control frameworks common in the banking sector,
Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance,
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact confidently with internal stakeholders, senior management, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders,
Full professional proficiency in English both written and spoken is required,
A proactive, structured, and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

3) Next, you’ll have one week to prepare a technical case study focused on IFRS and consolidation, and then present your approach during a dedicated session (1h),
4) You’ll meet several members of your future team for an informal discussion to ensure mutual fit and collaboration (1h),
5) Finally, the process concludes with a closing conversation with Xavier, Deputy CEO & Group CFO (30 min).
