We have a rare opportunity for a confident and passionate senior nurse to join our team for a mix of nursing and leadership duties. We are particularly interested in candidates who are experienced in surgery, enjoy developing staff and processes and advocate patient outcomes.

About The Clinic

Yeronga Vet Surgery is a popular and progressive veterinary care in Brisbane.  The team pride themselves on the health and wellbeing of small animals, genuine client relationships and a relaxed collaborative culture.  Our entire team are experienced and dedicated professionals who aim to provide comprehensive and compassionate veterinary services in a supportive and fun working environment.  We operate on two vets per day supported by a friendly and experienced practice manager and nursing team.

We have a lovely clinic with onsite parking, an outside garden area, a staff wellness room to enjoy a true break, we celebrate all occasions, have monthly lunch meetings, ensure we all take holidays and promote a strong wellness culture.  We take care of each other.

About The Role

  • Full Time – 38 hours per week (but are flexible for the right person)

  • Lead on nurse development, suppliers, stock control and improving workflow

  • Work closely with the practice manager and lead vet to expand on the positive culture, kick clinic goals and provide outstanding customer care

  • Access to free Veterinary Training Centre workshops and online courses

  • Paid QLD radiology licence, great uniforms and allowances

  • Well above award rate with annual pay reviews

About You

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, with min 3 years since graduating

  • Genuine passion and care for the industry and our patients

  • Strong team and work ethic, good problem solving skills and time management
