About the role

The Head of HR will lead the end-to-end Human Resource function for SSO Cancer Care Hospital, ensuring seamless operations across clinical, non-clinical, and support teams. This role demands a leader who has previously managed high-intensity, operations-driven environments such as plants or factory units, where workforce planning, compliance, IR, and large contractual workforces are central. They will act as a strategic partner to Hospital Leadership, enabling a high-performance culture, operational excellence, and people-first patient-centric practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Management & Acquisition

  • Lead manpower planning across medical, paramedical, administrative, and facility teams.
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, credentialing, and capability-building.
  • Enable career pathways and succession planning for high-performing teams.

2. Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with leadership team & unit heads to align HR strategies with patient-care outcomes, operational targets, and hospital KPIs.
  • Drive workforce productivity, manpower optimization, and staffing models inspired by plant-level efficiency frameworks.

3. Performance Management & Learning

  • Implement competency-based performance frameworks.
  • Establish structured training for clinical, technical, and support teams.
  • Build a learning culture similar to high-discipline plant setups.

4. Compliance, Statutory & Safety

  • Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, hospital HR audits, and medical establishment norms.
  • Partner with Quality & Safety teams to reinforce a zero-incident, safe-workplace environment.

5. Organizational Development & Culture Building

  • Drive values-based culture aligned with empathy, patient-centricity, and operational discipline.
  • Strengthen employee engagement programs across hospital units.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and well-being.

Requirements

Ideal Profile

  • 3–6 years of strong HR experience from a Tier-1 institution (IIM, XLRI, TISS, MDI, etc.)
  • Exposure to HR operations in plants/factories/large operational units, ideally in 24x7 environments.
  • Demonstrated team handling experience with the ability to lead and influence on-ground HR teams.
  • Strong grounding in employee relations and the ability to manage ground-level workforce dynamics effectively.
  • Experience in hospitals/healthcare is a plus, not mandatory.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment with a significant contractual workforce.
