Hair & Makeup Artist - On-call (Application Bank - Future Opportunities)

Our casting team is looking for Hair & Makeup Artists (HMU) who will be responsible for executing daily hair and makeup styles on ready-to-wear and Kidswear models. As part of our best-in-class Studio Visual Operations team, they will ensure all HMU is consistent with the SSENSE beauty direction and production and productivity targets are met. The ideal candidate understands how to interpret a brief, brand identity and artistic direction to create desired results. This role works cross-functionally, requiring a highly collaborative style, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to influence and motivate to drive performance results.

What you will do:

• Meet Production Targets: Efficiently execute hair and makeup to consistently meet on-set deadlines and production goals.
• Maximize Productivity: Pace on-set and off-set activities to ensure high productivity and consistent achievement of quality metrics.
• Effective Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with the on-set production team (Styling, Casting, Retouching, Photography, Art Direction) to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain Beauty Direction: Ensure consistent adherence to the model's unique beauty direction throughout the season and on a daily basis.
• Quality & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of quality control, adhering to SSENSE art direction and strict health and safety protocols.

• Certificate or Diploma in relevant Cosmetology field, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 1-3 years experience in editorial or commercial production, preferably in luxury or e-commerce
• Strong knowledge in all hair textures and makeup tones, tools and techniques
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Web and computer-savviness
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
