Role & Responsibilities

We’re hiring a GTM Recruiter (6 Month Contract) to help us scale our rapidly growing team with a focus on filling high priority roles across the organization. This is a hands-on, full-cycle role owning all phases from the hiring process including sourcing, interviewing and closing candidates. There is an opportunity for this to become a full-time position after the contract comes to an end.

What are the role responsibilities?

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for high impact, priority roles for Optimism.

  • Partner closely with business leaders to calibrate on talent – move fast without sacrificing quality.

  • Proactively source and engage candidates through outbound outreach, referrals, and creative channels + partner with agencies for top of funnel support.

  • Run tight, thoughtful interview processes that respect candidates’ time and reflect our values.

  • Manage offer processes, negotiate thoughtfully, and close top talent.

  • Build strong candidate relationships and deliver a standout candidate experience.

  • Keep pipelines organized and up to date in our ATS.

  • Continuously improve how we hire as we scale (processes, tooling, messaging, etc.).

What skills do you bring?

  • 3–6+ years of recruiting experience in a high growth, startup environment.

  • Strong full-cycle recruiting chops; you’re comfortable owning roles from first outreach to signed offer.

  • A scrappy, proactive sourcing mindset – you don’t wait for applicants.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.

  • Bias toward action, speed, and continuous improvement.
