GTM Engineer (Zero-to-One) (Remote)

We are currently looking for a GTM Engineer (Zero-to-One) in South Africa.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives on building systems from scratch to drive business growth. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling end-to-end GTM automation and data workflows, connecting multiple tools and platforms to optimize revenue motions. Collaborating closely with leadership, you will create innovative internal tools, scrapers, and workflows to accelerate prospecting, enrichment, outreach, and reporting. The position offers a highly autonomous environment where experimentation, rapid shipping, and problem-solving are central to success. It is well-suited for someone who enjoys working in early-stage, fast-moving settings and contributing directly to growth initiatives.

Accountabilities:

• Build, own, and maintain automated GTM systems across the full revenue stack, from prospecting to reporting.
• Develop Python-based scripts, microservices, and integrations to connect GTM tools and data sources.
• Stand up workflows in tools such as Clay, Apollo.io, n8n, Zapier, and Make.com.
• Design, test, and ship 0→1 internal tools, scrapers, LLM-driven workflows, and growth experiments.
• Architect scalable pipelines for enrichment, lead scoring, and intelligence.
• Partner directly with founders on strategy, tooling, and early product discovery.
• Solve GTM bottlenecks with engineering solutions and ensure smooth operational execution.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python, including APIs, automation, data workflows, FastAPI/Flask, and scraping.
• Hands-on experience with GTM tools like Clay, Apollo.io, n8n, Zapier, Make.com, HubSpot, or Salesforce APIs.
• Experience in early-stage startups or as a founding engineer is highly preferred.
• Ability to independently translate vague GTM problems into actionable engineering solutions.
• Comfortable owning projects end-to-end, from architecture to execution.
• Thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and enjoy taking initiatives from zero-to-one.
• Understanding of GTM motion including data enrichment, ICP targeting, routing, sequences, and experimentation.
• Nice-to-haves: experience with growth experimentation, RevOps, sales engineering, marketing ops, LLM/AI automation workflows, and building custom scrapers or enrichment pipelines.
