Control Risks is seeking an experienced and proactive GSOC Specialist Team Lead to guide a high-performing team embedded within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) of a major Fortune 500 client. In this role, you’ll oversee mission-critical intelligence and operations, drive continuous improvement, and serve as a key player in safeguarding the client.

  • Lead with purpose. Supervise a team of GSOC Specialists, overseeing onboarding, training, quality assurance, and scheduling to maintain round-the-clock operational excellence.
  • Stay ahead of global risk. Monitor unfolding global events—such as natural disasters, civil unrest, and geopolitical threats—and assess their potential impact on the client’s global workforce and operations.
  • Set the standard. Review and refine intelligence products, alerts, and reports to ensure clarity, relevance, and strategic value for executive-level stakeholders.
  • Drive operational excellence. Optimize workflows, identify gaps, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness across GSOC operations.
  • Own the big picture. Deliver detailed situational briefings and updates to senior global security leadership with confidence and authority.
  • Shape future capabilities. Lead the development and implementation of GSOC standard operating procedures, best practices, and new technologies to advance operational capabilities.
  • Train for success. Coordinate and participate in training initiatives and exercises to ensure team readiness and compliance with protocols.
  • Innovate and evolve. Spearhead the adoption of new services, tools, and technologies that improve intelligence gathering, communication, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (international relations, international security, political science, journalism, regional studies, etc.)​
  • 5+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, threat monitoring, and threat assessments​
  • Proven experience managing a team in a GSOC or emergency response environment. ​
  • Experience working with global risk intelligence and incident response software.​
  • Proven ability to accurately draw conclusions by synthesizing raw data and information from multiple, unrelated sources into a finished comprehensive product​
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English ​
  • Experience evaluating open-source information (media, social media, and unclassified government websites) to conduct incident analysis.​
  • Experience with emergency mass notification systems.​
  • Experience with travel risk management software platforms

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-95,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
