Job Description:

As a Growth Strategy – Proposal Operations Manager at Accenture, you will be a key member of the team responsible for driving growth and value-creation for our government clients. You will work closely with program teams to connect clients with subject matter experts across Accenture Federal Services (AFS) and the broader Accenture organization, helping to tell the story of how we can bring innovative solutions and capabilities to address their most pressing challenges. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational leadership and coordination for the proposal operations within Defense & Intel (D&I) teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across the portfolio and for cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized repository of proposal content, past performance information, and other key assets to support rapid response to opportunities.
  • Facilitate regular D&I team meetings to align on strategy, content development, and production timelines, driving accountability through effective action item and decision management.
  • Create engaging, client-focused proposal content that showcases Accenture's expertise, capabilities, and past performance in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Defense Operations proposal-related activities, acting as a connector between the sales, delivery, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal development function, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior proposal team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a consulting, business development, or client-facing role, preferably within the government/public sector

Nice to have:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute engaging, client-facing presentations and content
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives
  • Understanding of the government contracting process, including the role of proposals and innovation in the sales cycle
  • Familiarity with Accenture's capabilities and service offerings, or the ability to quickly learn and become an subject matter expert
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Experience in proposal development or operations support, with the ability to contribute to the creation of RFP/RFI responses
  • Background in design thinking, user experience, or other human-centered approaches to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends impacting the government and public sector
  • Strong network within the Accenture organization and the ability to leverage internal resources

  • Active TS security clearance

 

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
