Angkas’ mission is to eradicate poverty in the Philippines by providing opportunities for its bikers to create a source of livelihood that impacts their family and their communities.
The Growth Product Manager will be responsible for driving high-velocity experimentation, platform optimization, and scalable growth initiatives across a large-scale two-sided marketplace. This role requires a highly hands-on, execution-oriented product leader with deep intuition for marketplace dynamics, strong analytical rigor, and the ability to operate independently in fast-moving environments.
This is a pure consumer marketplace role. Candidates with primarily B2B, enterprise, or internal tooling product backgrounds will not be considered.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Growth & Optimization
- Lead high-velocity platform optimizations across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention funnels.
- Design, execute, and iterate on multiple growth bets in parallel, balancing speed, impact, and learning.
- Apply strong product intuition to quickly assess what will work vs. what will not, backed by data and experimentation.
- Drive geospatial and temporal optimizations, including demand-supply balancing, dynamic marketplace tuning, and time-based interventions.
2. Marketplace Expertise
- Own and optimize critical mechanics of a two-sided marketplace platform operating at millions of users and transactions scale.
- Deeply understand rider-driver (or equivalent) incentives, pricing, constraints, behaviors, and failure modes.
- Continuously identify friction points and inefficiencies across the platform and translate them into actionable product solutions and experiments.
3. Execution & Delivery
- Operate in a hands-on, highly execution-focused manner: define problems, validate solutions, ship fast, and iterate.
- Independently troubleshoot issues across product, data, and system behavior, driving rapid resolution.
- Ship fast, learn fast, and continuously improve through experimentation and post-mortem analysis.
- Maintain a strong bias toward action, while applying deep analytical thinking when decisions require rigor.
4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering to define technically feasible, scalable, and performant solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Science / Analytics to design experiments, interpret results, and drive data-informed decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Business Teams to align growth initiatives with operational realities and business goals.
- Clearly communicate experimentation and optimization strategy, trade-offs, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Act as the single-threaded owner for growth initiatives, driving alignment and accountability across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical/scientific disciplines (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 5+ years of a combined product management experience in a technology-driven company, preferably in the transportation or mobility sector with:
- Minimum 2+ years of proven success as Growth PM or equivalent role.
- Demonstrated experience running large-scale platform growth initiatives within a two-sided consumer marketplace.
- Deep familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, Switchback testing, funnel analysis, and causal inference.
- Experience with APIs, microservices architecture, and backend systems
- Geospatial and temporal optimization techniques
