Position Summary
We’re looking for a Fractional Head of Growth to own and drive our growth efforts on a part-time basis (approx. 3 days per week).
This role is ideal for a hands-on growth operator with startup / scale-up experience who enjoys high ownership, autonomy, and execution — without the overhead of a large team. You’ll be responsible for identifying and executing the most impactful growth opportunities across acquisition, conversion, and retention, while working closely with the CEO and a small internal team.
This is not a strategy-only or advisory role. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves, run initiatives end-to-end, and constantly look for the next meaningful growth lever for the business.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys personally running experiments, optimizing funnels, and improving retention — not managing large teams or agencies.
Your Responsibilities
Growth Ownership & Prioritization
Own end-to-end growth outcomes, across acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value
Identify, test, and prioritize growth opportunities with the biggest potential business impact
Focus on a small number of high-impact initiatives, rather than spreading effort thinly across many channels.
Continuously reassess priorities, budgets, and initiatives based on results and learnings
Channel Development
Drive customer acquisition across paid and organic channels; test and scale new acquisition channels and growth ideas with a clear conversion strategy
Reallocate spend dynamically (across markets, product ranges) to maximize overall ROI and lifetime value
Own strategies to improve repeat purchase, retention, and customer lifetime value
Run and optimize structured growth experiments across the full funnel (acquisition → conversion → retention)
Ensure acquisition efforts are aligned with long-term value, not just short-term CAC
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Own conversion performance across key funnels and touchpoints
Identify friction points in the user journey and implement improvements quickly
Work closely with product, design, and operations teams to improve on-site and in-product conversion
Balance speed and rigor — ship tests fast, learn, and iterate
Data & Performance
Track and analyze growth performance across markets and channels
Use data to make fast, informed decisions without over-engineering analysis
Be comfortable making decisions with incomplete data and iterating quickly as learnings emerge.
Own core metrics such as CAC, LTV, conversion rates, retention, and payback
Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to leadership
What We’re Looking For
5–8 years of experience in growth, marketing, or similar roles
Strong background in startups, scale-ups, or high-ownership environments
Proven experience running acquisition, CRO and retention initiatives
Hands-on experience with paid acquisition, funnels, and experimentation
Comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal support
Strong analytical mindset with a bias toward action – ability to identify, analyze and evaluate market trends, customer insights, and competitor data
High ownership, curiosity, and willingness to test and learn
Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving team
Prior experience in a fractional or interim is a strong plus
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Math or related field. Advanced degree is a plus
Working Model [for fractional role]
Part-time engagement of approximately 3 days per week
Flexible scheduling with clear ownership of outcomes
Focus on execution and impact, not meetings
Close collaboration with CEO and a lean internal team
Potential to adjust scope or extend engagement over time
Why This Role
High ownership and autonomy
Direct impact on growth and revenue
Opportunity to shape how growth is done in a small team
Close collaboration with founders and leadership
Room to grow with the company
Your Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in growth marketing in e-commerce, marketplace, startups
Proven experience in developing and executing digital growth strategies, with a focus on performance optimization
In-depth knowledge of SEM and social media advertising
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills (demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and evaluate market trends, customer insights, and competitor data)
Data-driven skillset to analyze, optimize and drive efficiency of CAC/LTV. Proficiency in data analysis or business intelligence tools (Google Analytics, Sheets / Excel, etc)
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment (open to challenges, flexible)
Up to date on latest online marketing developments & best practices
An experienced part-timer / freelancer, used to balancing competing priorities and effectively allocate time between clients while meeting objectives and deadlines
Min. Bachelor’s, preferable Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Math or related field. Advanced degree is a plus
