Growth Analytics and Planning Specialist

- Sales, Merchandise & Financial Planning
- Support the development of annual and seasonal merchandise financial plans, including sales, margin, and inventory considerations.
- Accurately forecast revenue at appropriate product and category levels, incorporating business trends, promotions, marketing, and site drivers.
- Participate in building strategic financial plans aligned with company goals.
- Analyze category performance, clearly articulating drivers of trends and opportunities for improved results.
- Develop data-driven insights to inform merchandise assortments and improve productivity.
- Marketing & Channel Planning
- Support the development of and maintain the Marketing Channel Execution Plan at a daily, weekly, and monthly level across business lines.
- Ensure alignment of marketing KPIs with category and demand plans, including Spend, Traffic, Conversion Rate (CVR), Revenue, Gross Profit, AOV, ROAS, MOAS, and customer metrics.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Channel, and Product partners to incorporate campaign strategies, website changes, pricing, and promotional plans into forecasts.
- Monitor in-season performance and adjust expectations based on trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and promotion scorecards to support planning, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
- Partner with the Data team to define reporting requirements and support data model development.
- Prepare and present regular performance updates, post-season analyses, and key takeaways for stakeholders.
- Independently conduct ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and support decision-making.
- Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Contribute to the development of efficient, repeatable methodologies for sales forecasting, reporting, and planning.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and business reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally, seeking input and collaborating effectively to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Balance creative and critical thinking when evaluating options and making recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in merchandising planning, marketing analysis, business analysis, or a related role within a consumer or eCommerce business.
- Proven experience forecasting sales and/or marketing performance, including revenue, margin, inventory, or channel KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with large data sets.
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Excel, Looker, Power BI, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of digital marketing channels including paid search, display, SEO, social, and email/SMS.
- Familiarity with SQL, data visualization, and business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused, solution-oriented, and comfortable operating with ambiguity.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$80,000 - $113,000]
Connecticut and New York: [$80,000 - $103,500]
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$80,000 - $95,750]
Nevada: [$75,250 - $103,500]
Maryland and New Jersey: [$86,500 - $103,500]
Hawaii : [$75,250 – $90,000]
This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
