We’re seeking a Grower Support Technician to serve as a local, field-based partner to growers using Arable’s agtech tools. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on field work, is comfortable with basic technology, and wants to support farmers in using data to improve crop and water management.We welcome candidates looking for either full-time or part-time roles—this position is flexible and varies with the agricultural season.

Helping farmers in Nebraska manage water more efficiently and sustainably
Building agricultural climate data networks in Africa to help farmers adapt to climate change
Providing farmers in California with tools to save water, reduce risk, and minimize waste
What You'll Do:
Install and maintain Arable weather and crop monitoring devices on farms
Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues in-field or remotely
Provide basic training to growers on how to use the Arable system
Support seasonal field tasks (e.g., sensor checks before planting, irrigation calibration, harvest prep)
Collaborate with Arable’s Customer Success team to ensure grower satisfaction
Document site visits, provide grower feedback, and report issues to internal teams
Represent Arable as a reliable and friendly partner in the community
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in agriculture, irrigation, ag retail, or agtech fieldwork
Mechanical or technical aptitude (no coding required—just solid troubleshooting skills)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between farms (mileage reimbursed)
Comfort working outdoors in variable conditions
Familiarity with row crop systems, especially corn and soy, is a plus
Spanish fluency is a plus (but not required)
Qualifications:
1–3 years of field experience (agriculture, irrigation, or related)
Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a relevant field preferred
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work independently in the field
Valid driver’s license
Compensation & Perks:
$25–$35/hr depending on experience and role structure
Mileage reimbursement for local travel
Flexible schedule, ideal for balancing seasonal work
Option to work as a W2 employee or independent contractor
Training provided on Arable hardware/software
