Group Protection Scheme Underwriter

We’re recruiting for a Scheme Underwriter to join us. We’re offering a base salary of £34,000-£44,000 and hybrid working. Are you ready to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive team? We’re looking for an Underwriter to join our Group Protection Retail team. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while helping us grow our business. What you'll be doing:

• Assessing risk and setting pricing in line with underwriting guidelines
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers
• Collaborating with colleagues to meet shared financial and service goals
• Managing your workload to meet deadlines and communicating effectively when needed
• Supporting your own development by learning new skills and following your personal development plan
• Staying informed about new products, team updates, and business developments
• Ensuring customers receive clear, timely information to manage their policies
• Prioritising service for customers making changes, claims, or complaints

• Experience in underwriting or a related financial services role
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to adapt and stay motivated in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals
• A proactive approach to personal development and learning
• Understanding of Group Protection products and regulations 
• Commitment to treating customers fairly and upholding high ethical standards
