Job Objective & Responsibilities: 

Working as part of our talented ABM Service Team at Gyle Shopping Centre, you will be on the front line in being responsible for delivering outstanding levels of customer service to all visitors to our site. You will be key for the delivery of exceptional ground maintenance and winter services at Gyle Shopping Centre. Ensuring that the compliances are adhered to, for delivering high levels of ground maintenance services to our client & customers. This will include all aspects of work required within a busy shopping centre. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Grass and hedge cutting. 
  • Border maintenance. 
  • Spraying. 
  • Clearing leaves. 
  • Litter picking. 
  • Winter gritting. 
  • Assisting with other external services when required. 
  • Operating a range of vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with health and safety procedures. 
  • Keeping Gyle Shopping Centre site safe and welcoming towards our client & customers.  
  • Being an excellent ABM brand ambassador. 

 

Person Specification: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and influencing skills. 
  • Ground Keeping experience required. 
  • First Aid at work (desirable). 
  • PA1 & PA6 spraying licence (desirable) 
  • IPAF (desirable) 
  • IOSH working safely (desirable) 
  • Articulate and able to communicate effectively.  
  • Be able to work as part of a team. 
  • Must be able to follow instructions. 
  • The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business. 
  •  The ability to effectively prioritise your workload and build relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow process. 
  • The ability to work on own initiative and take full ownership of role.
