Graphic Designer Intern

ACDS is working with our company partner, Marketing Main Street to add a Graphic Designer Intern to their team in Northwest Arkansas!

Our ACDS Internship Program is a three-month program that places selected candidates with employers across Arkansas in IT positions to gain experience under the guidance of a professional mentor/IT support team. Internships are designed as an on-ramp to kick off an IT support career and can roll into full-time positions based on employer demand.

About our Company Partner: Marketing Main Street is a growing small business dedicated to serving other local, small businesses in Northwest Arkansas! Marketing Main Street provides an extensive range of services, encompassing strategic Traditional Media Buying, Digital Strategy, Press Relations, and Branding & Design. Dedicated to infusing modern marketing techniques and timeless values into every client interaction, Marketing Main Street utilizes the latest tools, strategies, and trends to deliver top-notch campaigns with measurable ROI. The team adopts a hands-on approach and adds an extra touch of Southern Hospitality to lead each campaign successfully.

What You'll Do...

  • Design and develop marketing materials such as digital ads and social media graphics that are visually appealing and effectively communicate the client's intended message.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to gather design requirements and feedback, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's website and social media presence, ensuring that content is up-to-date, accurate, and optimized for search engines.
  • Create multimedia content such as videos and podcasts to support client initiatives, and edit and publish content
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and drive traffic to stakeholder websites.  
  • Organize and manage digital assets such as photos, videos, and graphics for easy access and sharing. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design software to continuously improve design skills and  techniques. 

Our Must Haves...

  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, iOS, Final Cut Pro, or other similar tools.  
  • A thorough understanding of branding and marketing
  • Knowledge or experience with content creation, management, or production
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates skills and creativity
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Exhibited technical aptitude through projects, experience, or online learning and ability to communicate what you know
  • Ability to pass a standard background check and standard drug screen
  • A clean driving record
  • Current Arkansas state resident
  • Ability to work full-time in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship

Details

  • Pay: $15/hour
  • Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
  • Length of Internship: 3 months
  • Location: Marketing Main Street in Rogers. AR and on-site with clients in NWA as needed

How does the interview process work? ACDS will conduct an initial phone interview and assessment. ACDS will send selected resumes to companies that match the candidate’s skills and interests. Our employer partners will decide who to interview and select the final candidates for the internship program.
