This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience creating impactful visual content for campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and nonprofit organizations. You will collaborate with a creative team to produce graphics for social media, digital ads, print materials, and branding projects, while applying your own creative voice. The role provides exposure to real-world design workflows, feedback from professionals, and cross-platform collaboration. You will develop skills in motion graphics, video editing, and design software, all while contributing to meaningful projects that drive social and political change. This position is fully remote or based in Washington, D.C., offering a supportive environment to learn, experiment, and grow your design portfolio.
Accountabilities:
· Create visual assets for email campaigns, social media, digital advertising, and print materials.
· Apply and adapt brand guidelines to new and existing designs.
· Build simple animations (GIFs, video loops) and edit video clips.
· Support larger projects including identity design, web graphics, and cross-platform campaigns.
· Receive and implement feedback from designers, strategists, and clients to refine creative work.
· Collaborate with team members across design, strategy, and development to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
Requirements
· Currently a senior, last-year undergraduate student, or recent graduate in graphic design, visual communication, or related field.
· Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
· Strong creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
· Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to collaborative projects.
· Commitment to working on progressive political candidates, nonprofit causes, or advocacy initiatives.
· Ability to work full-time or near full-time (40 hours/week) with consistent availability.
· Based in the United States.
· Bonus: Experience with motion design tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro), accessibility in design, or UX/UI projects.
