Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in securing funding for our organization's programs and initiatives by researching and applying for grants from various sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and funding needs.
• Develop compelling and well-written grant proposals, narratives, and supporting documents that effectively communicate our organization's goals, programs, and impact.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information, data, and program details to strengthen grant applications.
• Ensure that all grant proposals adhere to the specific guidelines and requirements of each funding source.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities, deadlines, and submission requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with grant officers and program officers at funding organizations.
• Monitor and report on the status of grant applications, including tracking deadlines and following up on submissions.
• Assist in the preparation of grant reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.
• Stay up-to-date with trends, best practices, and changes in the grant writing field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Proven track record of securing grants from diverse funding sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in using Google Docs and Hubspot.
• Knowledge of the local and national grant landscape is preferred.
