Operate, monitor, and maintain steam and hot water boiler systems within Grade 4 license limits
Perform inspections and daily rounds on boilers, burners, feedwater systems, valves, and safety controls
Start up, shut down, and adjust boilers following SOPs and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain strict compliance with Maryland Boiler Safety regulations and local codes
Log operating data and inspection records accurately
Perform preventive maintenance and assist in troubleshooting boiler and mechanical system issues
Respond to facility alarms, system failures, and emergencies as needed
Support related mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and expansion tanks
This position is based in Maryland and may involve work across government, healthcare, industrial, or commercial properties

Active Grade 4 Stationary Engineer License (State of Maryland)
1–3 years of experience operating boilers or mechanical systems
Knowledge of steam and hydronic systems, boiler controls, and safety devices
Ability to read mechanical drawings, gauges, SOPs, and logs
Strong attention to detail, safety, and documentation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and access mechanical rooms (including confined or hot spaces)
Willingness to work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in government, healthcare, or industrial facilities
Familiarity with water treatment and chemical testing procedures
Experience supporting HVAC and other facility systems
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Ability to troubleshoot across multiple mechanical systems
