Golden Harvest Agronomist

At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support that challenge,  the Syngenta Seeds team is currently seeking a Golden Harvest Agronomist located in Missouri. 

Location: Northeast Missouri

Duties:

• Evaluate experimental trials to aid in training the sales force on new product launches 
• Provide marketing input into product advancements 
• Provide input on production planning and portfolio 
• Sharpen competitive intelligence on pricing and products 
• Support product-based campaign development in the district  
• Promote Syngenta products at meetings, field days, and one-on-ones  
• Support and coordinate plot locations and entries in the assigned area 
• Analyze and interpret data for promotional use and act as the pivot point for Syngenta's story amplification in local areas

• B.S. in Agronomy or related Agricultural field  
• 2+ years of experience in Agronomy or Sales with a strong technical background or 2+ years of experience in a Research and Development role, with a strong understanding of Sales and Commercial aspects 
• Deep knowledge of the seed industry 
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position 

Preferred Requirements 

• Basic understanding of marketing principles and techniques  
• Understanding of statistical principles and data analysis  
• Significant technical knowledge of product portfolio, product pipeline and product value propositions.  
• Agronomic theory – knowledge of farming best practices, seed technologies, crop protection 
• Understanding of segmentation strategy and priorities 
• Demonstrated experience in guidance and direct involvement in service call resolution
