GNC Engineering Intern - (Summer/Fall 2026)

$25 – $33 per hour

Support the development of guidance, navigation, and control systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft focusing on algorithm implementation and testing.

As a GNC Engineering Intern, you will support the development of guidance, navigation, and control systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft. This role focuses heavily on controls development, algorithm implementation, and testing. Summer: Around 10 weeks (May - August) Fall: Around 16 weeks (September - December) Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, implementation, and testing of guidance and control algorithms for uncrewed high-speed aircraft
  • Assist in developing and tuning control laws for flight vehicle stability and performance
  • Implement and validate control algorithms in simulation and test environments
  • Support analysis of test data and help refine control system performance
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong background in controls, dynamics, and feedback systems
  • Experience with control system modeling and simulation
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar tools used for controls development
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
