Global Strategic Sourcing Manager for IT Services

The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing the sourcing strategies for IT Services category. This role serves as a primary liaison with legal, act as Procurement ambassador to the business and partners closely with stakeholders to ensure strong alignment with business objectives and a deep understanding of strategic priorities.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager integrates closely with the business to co‑develop and execute strategic initiatives and negotiation strategies serving as a trusted, value‑added partner, advising requestors on contract terms and conditions, monitoring contract cost, scope, and performance to ensure compliance, best value and continuous pricing validation and improvement.

The position requires knowledge and experience in managing IT services including managed Service providers, Consulting, professional services and project-based statement of Work. The Strategic Sourcing Manager ensures business stakeholders are effectively supported in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, evaluate and qualify new and existing suppliers; advise requestors with respect to contract terms and conditions
  • Conduct market and supplier analyses, leveraging category expertise to develop sourcing strategies aligned with market trends, roadmaps and business objectives
  • Conduct RFX and lead cross functional teams through supplier selection with effective scoring criteria to critically evaluate supplier proposals in accordance with company policies
  • Lead negotiations for Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Change Orders, Order Form balancing business deliverables, legal interests and pricing
  • Develop along with the stakeholders and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and understand their needs, requirements and project timelines.
  • Develop Negotiation Plans and Strategies to optimize cost savings, cost avoidance, and overall value optimization

Supplier Management:

  • Manage supplier relationships with focus on supply/contract and cost management
  • Mediate supplier issues and resolve customer / supplier contract disputes if necessary
  • Lead and participate in periodic business reviews with vendors to review performance and support mutually agreed upon improvement programs as required
  • Develop supplier rationalization entitlements for each category

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree  with 7+ of experience in indirect strategic sourcing with a multi-national organization with an emphasis IT Services
  • MBA or JD preferred
  • Contract Negotiation / Vendor Mgmt. / Influencing skills required
  • Experience and expertise with sourcing & contracting ERP tools (SAP and/or Oracle), 

SKILLS:

  • Ability to work well in a high-pace dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure task completion and deadlines are met as required
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiating and formulating technology contracts, understanding cost models and various price structures and management of contractual.
  • Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills required
  • Excellent team facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
