About the Role 

Lansweeper is looking for a seasoned IT leader to own and evolve our global internal IT organisation. This is a leadership role first: you'll be accountable for a team of 8 across Belgium, Spain, and the US, a complex hybrid infrastructure spanning multiple regions, and a technology stack that needs to scale with a fast-growing, 400-person business. 

You'll report directly to the COO and carry real mandate and budget authority. The foundation is traditional IT done right: robust infrastructure, tight security, and operational excellence. On top of that, you'll drive strategic IT decisions and lead the execution of AI infrastructure and governance across the organisation, in close partnership with the Head of AI Operations.

• A well-led IT team with clear roles, accountability, and a strong service culture, trusted partners to the business, not a bottleneck. 

• A consolidated, stable infrastructure that has reduced regional fragmentation and operates on a modern, governed stack. 

• Security posture that satisfies ISO/SOC 2 auditors while keeping a 400-person business running at speed. 

• AI infrastructure is stable, secure, and scalable. Governance tooling is operational. Teams can experiment and deploy AI safely without friction. 

• A LAB environment functioning as a genuine competitive asset for product testing and DevOps integration. 

• AI Steering Committee contributions are translating into concrete governance decisions and measurable adoption.

• AI is moving fast inside the company. You'll need to keep infrastructure, security, and cost controls ahead of adoption while enabling teams to move at speed. 

• Tool sprawl is real. You'll need to make hard consolidation calls while keeping teams productive through the transitions.

Our IT function has grown organically; now it needs a leader who can bring structure, strategic clarity, and operational discipline without losing the speed that got us here. 

What You'll Own 

Leadership & Team 

• Lead, develop, and grow a global IT team of 8 spanning Service Desk, Network Architecture, and Systems & Integrations. 

• Set clear direction, priorities, and performance standards across the team. 

• Build a team culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity toward internal stakeholders. 

• Be the IT voice at the leadership table, representing the function credibly with the COO, CFO, and business leaders. 

AI Infrastructure & Security 

• Build and operate Lansweeper's shared AI infrastructure: the platform that enables safe, governed experimentation at speed. 

• Design and maintain secure environments where AI champions can test and scale AI tooling without creating data or security exposure. 

• Own AI and IT security posture end-to-end, including patch management frameworks and dashboards, and day-to-day management of our SOC vendor relationship. 

Strategic IT & Agentic ITSM 

• Define and own the global IT strategy and multi-year roadmap, covering security, infrastructure, scalability, and tooling, from design through execution. 

• Make hard architectural decisions on consolidation, modernisation, and investment priorities, and align the business behind them. 

• Own IT budget, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations across the full stack (Microsoft, Palo Alto, SOC partners, SaaS vendors). 

• Drive security governance in line with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 requirements, maintaining a secure yet workable environment for a business that moves fast. 

• Own end-to-end operational excellence across Identity & Access Management, Endpoint Management, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, and ITSM. 

• Run a best-in-class global IT service desk covering onboarding, access control, and operational support for a 400-person, multi-region business. 

• Lead the migration to an agentic ITSM model, replacing manual workflows with AI-driven automation to raise service quality and reduce overhead. 

• Drive standardisation and tooling consolidation across regions, reducing fragmentation without disrupting productivity. 

AI Governance & Company-Wide Adoption 

• Sit on Lansweeper's company-wide AI Steering Committee, contributing directly to AI vision, investment priorities, and governance policy. 

• Lead the operational rollout and day-to-day governance of AI tooling across the company, ensuring day-to-day compliance, licensing, and access controls are in place. 

• Operationalize the guardrails around data exposure, cost control, and acceptable use. 

• Support business teams with the infrastructure and tooling they need to embed AI into their workflows safely and at scale. 

• Monitor the AI tooling landscape and surface infrastructure and security recommendations. 

Product Partnership 

• Act as Lansweeper's internal product champion: serve as a thought partner to the CPO and product organisation, bringing operational and security insight into product decisions. 

• Maintain and evolve the LAB environment as a live competitive testing ground, feeding structured product feedback directly to the Product team as Lansweeper's primary internal beta tester. 

Growth & M&A 

• Evaluate potential M&A candidates from a product and technology lens, assessing infrastructure maturity, security posture, and integration readiness as part of due diligence. 

• Support Post-Merger Integration processes, ensuring acquired technology and teams integrate cleanly into Lansweeper's IT infrastructure and security standards. 

What We're Looking For 

Experience & Technical Depth 

• Proven track record as IT Manager, Head of IT, or equivalent in an international, multi-site environment, with a team you've led and grown. 

• Deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem: Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, M365. 

• Hands-on experience with network and security architecture: Palo Alto, Prisma Access, SIEM/SOC. 

• Strong knowledge of hybrid infrastructure: on-prem, cloud, HyperV, Azure. 

• Practical experience leading AI tool rollouts and governance, not just familiarity with the tools, but accountability for how an organisation uses them. 

Leadership Profile 

• A leader who builds trust up, down, and sideways; your team grows under you, and business stakeholders want you at the table. 

• Strategic thinker who executes: you write roadmaps and you ship them. 

• Pragmatic and commercially aware: you balance governance with speed and know when to enforce and when to flex. 

• Clear communicator who can translate IT complexity into business language, and vice versa.
