Global Policy Associate 

Salary; $130,000-$137,000 DOE

About the Global Policy Operations Associate role:

As Hedera’s Global Policy Operations Associate, you will support exciting global policy projects that touch topics such as blockchain/digital ledger technology, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, banking, capital markets, financial inclusion, innovation, international trade, national security, privacy, property rights, technology development, and Web3. This role will directly help execute Hedera’s global policy strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit global policy newsletters, blogs, submissions, speeches, testimony, and other external materials.
  • Support the creation of reports, slide decks, and presentations.
  • Manage team workflow, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
  • Coordinate the work of external consultants, associations and think tanks.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for the Chief Policy Officer, Vice President, events team and to special projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure alignment on policy initiatives.
  • Occasionally attend in-person events, meetings and hearings.
  • Work closely with marketing team to identify and drive thought leadership opportunities

Skill and Experience Preferred:

  • Excellent project management, critical thinking, policy research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in crypto/digital assets and blockchain/digital ledger technology.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. policymaking process. Familiarity with global technology policy, particularly European Union and United Kingdom regulations.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative remote environment, supporting senior policy leadership.

Education: Must have earned a BA/BS. 

Location: Remote role. Preference for Washington, D.C. based.
