About the Role

To support the continued evolution of our global analytics capabilities, Dentons is searching for a Global Business Insight Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Client Reporting & Analytics, this role sits at the intersection of financial data integrity and strategic business intelligence. You will serve as a key partner to Global Clients & Markets, global business leaders, and regional teams across our network.

The Global Business Insight Analyst is responsible for the sophisticated analysis and manipulation of client financial data. We are looking for a data-focused specialist with a strong foundation in accounting or financial audit who excels at data reconciliation and ensuring "one version of the truth."

As Dentons transitions to a data-driven organization, you will play a hands-on role in the deployment and enhancement of reporting tools – specifically Power BI. You will work closely with regional teams to extract data and build management reports that influence the decision-making process of leadership in the world's leading law firm. This is a high-visibility, global role requiring an ambitious, curious team player who can communicate effectively across time zones to drive financial transparency and insight.

Responsibilities

  • Own regional data integrity across the Global Data Infrastructure (GDI), leading reconciliation, validation, and resolution of anomalies end-to-end.
  • Strengthen and enhance data quality controls by monitoring existing processes and implementing proactive detection and prevention mechanisms.
  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to design and optimize Power BI management reporting, ensuring clarity, usability, and actionable insight.
  • Deliver recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis for leadership, Sector/PG Leads, Pricing, and Clients & Markets to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Generate forward-looking business insights by identifying trends, performance variances, and risk indicators across clients, sectors, and geographies.
  • Define and standardize reporting metrics and data definitions to ensure consistency and transparency across regional and global reporting.
  • Act as a GDI ambassador, driving analytics adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, and data literacy initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement by addressing root-cause data issues and leveraging automation, AI, and emerging technologies to future-proof reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in Accounting, Audit, Engineering, or Data Science, with 5+ years’ experience in a complex, international environment (Big 4 background advantageous).
  • Proven expertise in data analysis and reconciliation, with a meticulous, investigative mindset and the ability to resolve discrepancies back to source systems.
  • Advanced Power BI capability, including development of dashboards, Power Query transformation, and DAX-based modeling.
  • High proficiency in Excel and solid technical fluency in SQL, DAX Studio, Visual Studio, or comparable data extraction and validation tools.
  • Experience working within enterprise-level data environments (e.g., Azure SQL or similar), with the ability to understand end-to-end data flows.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into structured action plans, metric definitions, and functional specifications.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of driving alignment across global.
  • Resilient and adaptable professional, able to manage ad-hoc analytical demands while contributing to long-term BI innovation, automation, and AI-driven enhancements.
  • Fluency in business English; additional European language skills (French or Spanish) are an advantage.
