Position Overview

The Global Account Director (GAD) will be responsible for leading strategic engagement with Blue Spark Energy’s top 10 global oil and gas customers, ensuring the company’s pulsed-power wellbore remediation technology is positioned early and effectively across major projects, tenders, and regional campaigns.

This role requires a seasoned commercial leader capable of operating across multiple regions and organizational levels—building executive-level relationships, understanding client strategy and challenges, and aligning BSE’s capabilities to deliver value and differentiation.


The GAD acts as the primary commercial interface between Blue Spark Energy and assigned global accounts, representing both the client’s needs internally and the company’s strategic objectives externally.


Key Accountabilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and own comprehensive Strategic Account Plans for assigned global clients, incorporating commercial strategy, client organization mapping, and revenue targets.
  • Ensure BSE technologies and solutions are embedded early in client project lifecycles—particularly during concept select, pre-FEED, and tender planning phases.
  • Build relationships with senior procurement leaders to ensure BSE offerings are included in tenders, framework agreements, and approved vendor lists.
  • Coordinate global engagement across all BSE regions to maintain consistent client messaging and commercial alignment.
  • Represent BSE at the corporate level, ensuring client needs and strategic priorities are understood and acted upon by internal stakeholders.

Market Intelligence & Situation Analysis

  • Conduct and maintain detailed Situation Analyses for assigned accounts, including:
    • Key industry drivers and macroeconomic trends.
    • Customer segmentation and portfolio focus.
    • Regional and basin economics.
    • Competitive landscape and technology positioning.
    • Relevant political, regulatory, and local content factors.
  • Share findings across BSE leadership to inform corporate strategy, marketing, and product development.

Commercial Strategy & Growth

  • Identify strategic opportunities early in the project development process to position BSE favorably for future campaigns.
  • Develop and implement novel pricing and commercial models that enhance competitiveness on large, multi-well or multi-country projects.
  • Drive revenue growth through long-term agreements, preferred vendor status, and multi-region campaigns.
  • Coordinate executive business reviews with client leadership and internal BSE executives.

Operational & Safety Leadership

  • Promote and share best practices globally across both safety and operational excellence.
  • Ensure client feedback on performance, service quality, and safety is continuously communicated and acted upon.
  • Facilitate cross-regional learning and consistency in how BSE engages with the majors


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of international experience in sales, business development, or key account management within the oilfield services or energy technology sector.
  • Proven success managing strategic global accounts—preferably with major IOCs, NOCs, or supermajors.
  • Strong understanding of the well intervention, production enhancement, or completion technologies market.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with technical SMEs and C-suite executives alike.
  • Deep knowledge of global energy markets, project cycles, and macroeconomic drivers.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-region account strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation, influence, and communication skills, with a track record of navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • High degree of commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical capability.
  • Proficient with Sales & Marketing business systems (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage by influence across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages an asset.
